Fabulous Things I Love This Week
NYC Parks
September is a wonderful month to spend time outdoors as the sweltering summer heat starts to cool down into a fall breeze. Now that I’ve been living in NYC for two years, I cherish the many, many parks around the city for exercising, relaxing and meeting up with others.
The Berkeley Bowl from CHOPT
The office I work in is located in midtown Manhattan, and there is a salad place nearby called CHOPT. Lately, I’m digging their Berkeley Bowl. It comes with avocado, charred red onion, chickpeas, celery, rye berry and quinoa blend, marinated broccoleaf, kale and lemon tahini dressing.
Street Vegan: Recipes and Dispatches from The Cinnamon Snail Food Truck
This cookbook comes from the owner of my favorite food truck, The Cinnamon Snail. I used to buy the Maple Mustard Tempeh Sandwich every week when they parked in midtown, and now I have the recipe for that yummy maple mustard glaze. Huzzah!
MyFitnessPal App
I started using the MyFtinessPal app to help keep track my fitness goals by logging my food and exercise intake. It helps to see how many calories you have consumed and burned throughout the day if you are trying to maintain or loose weight.
Athar’a Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream
Several months ago, I received the Athar’a Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream in my Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and have loved using it. This proprietary formula is made exclusively for Athar’a with Pure Moroccan Argan oil, Avocado, Shea Butter, Coffee and Arabica Green Tea.

I love that eye cream! Mine is almost gone. Got it from the beauty box too.

Would you buy the eye cream again and try other Athar’a products? I’m hoping Vegan Cuts includes the Athar’a face cream or face scrub in a future box!

Definitely. I haven’t looked into the cost of it yet but I do love the product!

I’m considering the beauty box! I’m currently making the switch to natural, vegan beauty products, which is turning out to be much more difficult than the lifestyle change to clean, organic eating! Any advise?
