The Counter has several locations throughout the world, and one of those is in New York City’s Times Square. They aren’t a vegan restaurant, but they offer a delicious vegan veggie burger!
The Counter’s veggie patty is far from run-of-the-mill. It’s house-made, vegan, and made with eleven different ingredients like carrots, corn, cranberries, mushrooms and black beans. You can order the Sprouted Veggie Burger right off the menu with their recommended toppings, sauce and bun, or you can choose to build your own.
The Sprouted Veggie Burger on the menu is topped with sliced red onion, organic mixed greens, roasted red pepper, alfalfa sprouts, and dijon balsamic dressing on a multigrain bun.

You can order a completely different veggie burger if those toppings don’t sound appetizing. If you build your own burger, be warned: it can be very hard to choose! The Counter offers vegan cheese and a plethora of good toppings like oven-roasted tomatoes, avocado, pineapple, kale, marinated artichokes, jicima, green beans, roasted green chilis, quinoa and more.
Yum!
