Food Review – Maxine's Heavenly Cookies – a Healthy, Vegan and Gluten-Free Treat

I really enjoyed my shipment of healthy (yes I said HEALTHY) cookies from Maxine’s Heavenly Cookies. I know the term “healthy cookies” seems like an oxymoron, but this company uses simple, pure ingredients like gluten-free oats and coconut palm sugar to to create a  wholesome treat you can feel good about feeding to your family.

Food Review – Maxine's Heavenly Cookies – a Healthy, Vegan and Gluten-Free Treat

Maxine’s Heavenly – Gluten Free, Vegan, Soy Free, Non-GMO Cookies are dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and non-GMO certified. They are made from a truly healthy base of oats, brown rice flour, flax seed, and sunflower lecithin. They are sweetened ONLY with coconut sugar and contain no chemical or artificial ingredients.

My favorite flavors were the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and the Chocolate Chocolate Chip, which were nice for afternoon snack time. The Almond Chocolate Chip and the Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin flavors were great for the morning time. I even had them for breakfast a few times! These cookies were chewy, flavorful and hearty.

Some cookie brands leave you with a full-yet-empty feeling, but the cookies from Maxine’s Heavenly left me feeling good and satiated.

The company founders’ main goal is to make treats that still have that homemade taste, but have clean ingredients. They succeeded with these cookies, which are delicious!
