I love Trader Joe’s! For those who want to eat more plant-based foods, this store is a wonderful place to do your shopping. After one scan at the food lineup, you’ll quickly find that Trader Joe’s has your back when it comes to offering tasty meals and snacks that are free of meat, eggs, and dairy.
Here are some savory food finds at Trader Joe’s. These items will make putting dinner on the table much easier, or just provide an easy way to indulge in a quick snack. Yum!
Meal Punjab Choley
This traditional Indian recipe consists of chickpeas, tomatoes, and ginger in a spicy aromatic sauce. It contains no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

Organic Creamy Asparagus Soup
Instead of heavy cream (or any kind of dairy), Trader Joe’s uses organic potatoes and fresh organic spinach, puréed together to a “creamy” consistency.

Vegan Soy Chorizo
Chorizo is a traditional Mexican sausage, and Trader Joe’s ensures this product tastes authentic — just without the meat part. It contains no cholesterol and has 60% less fat than traditional chorizo, making this a much healthier choice than its animal-flesh counterpart.

Organic Tofu Veggie Burgers
These vegan patties are made with organic tofu (made from sprouted soybeans) and organic veggies like carrots, onions and kale. Each 6 ounce package contains two good-sized, vegan burgers for the excellent everyday price of $2.99. Not bad at all!

Organic 3 Grain Tempeh
Tempeh is a fermented soy product from Indonesia. It comes in cake form and can be used in a variety of vegan dishes. I like to cut the tempeh cake into cubes and fry them over the stove with garlic, chili pepper, and olive oil.

Organic Baked Tofu – Savory Flavor or Teriyaki Flavor
Making tofu is certainly not for the inexperienced plant-based cook. If you’ve never cooked with tofu, choosing a pre-seasoned product is the way to go. Both the savory and teriyaki flavors from Trader Joe’s are marinated and ready-to-eat.

Peanut Satay Noodles & Sauce
This is a great meal for college students to make in their dorm room or for anyone who needs a super quick meal. I try to avoid the microwave as much as possible, but sometimes, you just need a 2-minute lunch that doesn’t come from a restaurant.

Organic Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
For an easy meal, just simmer some of this tomato basil sauce, and then toss with some brown rice pasta and peas! That’s my favorite way to make pasta and red sauce.

Wow, I thought before seeing this list that I would have tried most of the stuff on here but I’ve only had one thing (the mozz). Those tofu burgers, baked tofu, and the peanut satay noodles look delicious and are definitely going on my list to try!

I love that the Baked Tofu is flavored! It’s convenient for when you don’t have time to marinade and season tofu yourself.
