Former Banker Teams Up With Animal Rights Activist to Open Fast Casual Vegan Restaurant in Union Square
VBurger, a fast casual restaurant, is opening later this month in Union Square, where it will share space with The Hummus & Pita Co. The menu will feature classic American diner food like burgers, fries and milkshakes.
Blossom Du Jour to Open New Location in Union Square
It looks like Union Square is a great place to find vegan food! Blossom Du Jour will open a new location on October 14th at 15 East 13th Street. A couple new items will be on the menu including a Mac and Cheese and a Quinoa Sweet Potato burger.
Sweet Earth Natural Foods Releases Vegan Breakfast Sandwich at Whole Foods Market
Sweet Earth Natural Foods — a California-based natural-foods company — has released a new vegan breakfast sandwich, available now at Whole Foods Markets across the country. The Farmstand Flaxbread™ Vegan Breakfast Sandwich features Sweet Earth’s Benevolent Bacon, a spicy chickpea patty, and a sun-dried tomato spread.
Follow Your Heart Introduces VeganEgg
Follow Your Heart recently announced its new vegan egg replacement product called VeganEgg. The company plans to ship the product at the end of October, with initial availability through online retailers. VeganEgg is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, non-gmo, and soy-free. Amazon plans to sell VeganEgg.
