Rigoni Di Asiago Fiordifrutta Organic Fruit Spread has a unique recipe that yields 30% fewer calories than most other brands, making it a nice spread for breakfast. This delicious product is organic, non-GMO and sweetened with apple juice. It’s made from a three-ingredient family recipe, with each jar containing more than three pounds of ripened, organic and non-GMO fruit.

I could see real pieces of fruit inside the spread as a placed my knife inside the jar. Nice! I liked it best mixed with peanut butter on top of some sprouted grain toast. The spread has a fresh, fruity taste that is flavorful without being too sweet. The term “Fiordifrutta” means “the finest fruit” in Italian, which is a fitting name for this product since it does taste like fresh, fine fruit.

Among all the jams and jellies out there, opting for a fruit spread is a healthy choice because they are made without any added sugar, whereas jams and preserves use a combination of fruit and sugar thickened with pectin. I definitely recommend the Fiordifrutta brand in place of your typical sugar-filled or preservative-ridden jar of jelly.
