During the summer, a fruity iced tea hits the spot, especially one with no added flavors or preservatives like the selections from Story of My Tea.
Each month, Story of my Tea curates and sends you a box of 5 unique, high-quality loose leaf teas from around the world.
The all-natural tea can be enjoyed as iced tea or hot tea. Each one is made up of various natural plant ingredient and comes in a pouch that you can place directly in water.
If you want to drink it cold, refrigerate the tea a quart of water and steep for eight hours. If you want to drink it hot, steep it in a quart of hot water approximately 212°F for about 5 to 6 minutes. You can even get creative and make your own cocktails or other drinks.
My favorite flavor was the hibiscus berry, which is made up of organic hibiscus, rose hips, lemongrass, licorice, tangerine oil and pineapple flavor. Right away after putting the teabag in the water, I could see a beautiful pinkish red color.
Overall, the taste and color of these ice teas is pretty good. However, I noticed that all of them contain some sort of natural flavor, and I just wish the package specified where that flavor comes from.
Currently, the company has a campaign on Kickstarter. Check it out here.
For the month of July, I am teaming up with Story of My Tea to give one Lazy Girl Vegan reader an iced tea prize pack. You can enter through myFacebook page here.
