Fast food is not the healthiest option on the planet, but hey, sometimes you’re on the road (like during this holiday season!) and the only thing in sight is an exit with a measly gas station and a few good ole’ American drive-thurs. Luckily, vegans can find a few things.
Now that I’ve been living in NYC for a few years, I’ve eaten my way through enough pizza slices to find that the popular tip is true — New York City has the BEST pizza in the United States. Some people say it has to do with the mineral content of the water. Whatever the reason, you have to get a slice or two of pizza here and see for yourself!
Penne with sun-dried tomato cream sauce and pasta alfredo CAN be made without dairy. Chloe shoes you how in her book, Chloe’s Vegan Italian Kitchen.
My kind of pizza has always included NO cheese for as long as I can remember. There’s just something about melted cheese that ruins a pizza for me. I know most people are like “are you crazy?! But I’ve just always liked the flavor and texture of the bread, veggies and sauce on its own, so it’s more like a flatbread.
Yes, it’s safe to say I am opinionated about my pizza. So when I found out that Domino’s had a vegan crust option, I had to try them out.
Halloween Things I Love This Week
Happy Halloween! Since tomorrow is the holiday, my Friday Favorites post this week focuses on fun Halloween-inspired items.
Oh, you thought vegans only eat fancy green juice, kale salads and quinoa bowls, eh? See, we like our chips and cookies, too! We have designated an entire day in their honor. August 29, 2015 is International Vegan Junk Food Day. So you know what that means…
Hello, I’m Brielle! Alexandra introduced me last week. I’m a meat-and-dairy eater and have decided to take on a 30-day challenge of eating more plant-based foods. I would like to start my first blog post by saying how excited I am to be apart of Lazy Girl Vegan during this challenge and to share it with you!
My hometown has some amazing vegan food! Go Cincinnati! Yumm. Just look at the size of those tomato slices.
