Vegan Atlanta – Brunch at Eco-Friendly Radial Cafe (Green Certified Restaurant & Caterer)

Vegan Atlanta – Pit Stop at Eco-Friendly Radial Cafe (Green Certified Restaurant & Caterer)

Last year, a couple of my family members moved to the gorgeous U.S. state of Georgia. Since a friend and I embarked on a road trip last week from Cincinnati, Ohio to Pensacola Beach, Florida, we decided to stop by Atlanta on our way back home. While we were there, we had brunch at Radial Cafe, an awesome green restaurant with several vegan options on the menu. I’m in love with this place and their mission, so I had to share it with y’all!

Radial Cafe is Atlanta’s only Green Certified restaurant and caterer, boasting a small carbon footprint and big local flavor. Their “green” feel permeates the whole place; they even have a board near the bar that states which produce in their kitchen is organic that day.

I ordered the buckwheat pancakes (hello complete protein!) with strawberry rhubarb sauce and a side of sweet potato hash. Spending the extra $2 for that sauce was so worth it. Overall, my meal was delicious! It was definitely too hard to finish those gigantic pancakes, though, so I had a nice snack to take with me for the road.

Fun fact: Radial was farm-to-table before farm-to-table was cool; they’ve been using fresh, local and sustainable ingredients since they started the restaurant in 1999.

Here’s what the dining area looks like:

The decor is cute, and there’s a lot of brick and wood.

My pancakes were sweet and filling enough that I took half my meal to go, so I didn’t have any room for dessert. Maybe next time I’ll get that vegan chocolate cake with vegan buttercream.

I also love those little Vs on the menu; it makes plant-based eaters feel comfortable, accepted and allows us to not worry about asking the server a zillion questions to ensure we’re actually getting all plants and not some hidden animal product. Thank you Radial for being so awesome and accommodating to vegan and gluten-free eaters!

Have you ever been to Radial Cafe? What did you think?
