I love mac n’ cheese and try to make a homemade vegan cheese sauce as much as I can out of cashews and nutritional yeast. However, when I don’t want to make it from scratch, I usually opt for a boxed version since there are so many dairy-free choices now on the market!
Here are 10 vegan mac n’ cheese products that are either shelf-stable or sold frozen.
Daiya Cheezy Mac
The Cheezy Mac from Daiya is similar to the Velveeta brand you may have loved as a child, because it comes with a cheeze sauce pouch that you squeeze over cooked pasta. The Daiya version is much tastier and is free of gluten and soy. It contains five grams of protein.
Road’s End Organics Mac & Chreese
Aside from the classic Mac & Chreese, Road’s End also offers a Penne & Chreese Cheddar Style, a Shells & Chreese Cheddar Style, and a Mac & Chreese Alfredo Style.
Ian’s Mac & No Cheese
The Mac & No Cheese from Ian’s contains no artificial preservatives, artificial colors, gluten, eggs, nut, soy, wheat, milk, or casein!
Amy’s Dairy-Free Rice Macaroni & Cheeze
Amy’s Dairy-Free Rice Macaroni & Cheeze is made with organic pasta and filtered water. It’s vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and GMO-free.
So Delicious Dairy Free Mac & Cheese
This year, So Delicious debuted Mac & Cheese products in two flavors: Pizza and Cheddar. Both are free of dairy and gluten!
Earth Balance Mac & Cheese
This Earth Balance Mac n’ Cheese is similar to the Kraft version I loved as a kid. I like both the Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Mac & Cheese and the Vegan White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. They also have a gluten-free version.
Annie’s Shells and Creamy Sauce
I have not been able to try this Annie’s Homegrown Organic Vegan Shells & Creamy Sauce yet since I haven’t seen it in stores. However, I used to love the dairy version of Annie’s mac when I was in college, so I am sure the new vegan version will not disappoint!
Candle Café Macaroni & Vegan Cheese
Candle Cafe is a much-loved vegan restaurant in NYC. I have never been there, but I’ve had dinner at their other restaurant called Candle 79. The company’s food is so yummy that they came out with a line of Candle Cafe frozen entrees, including Macaroni & Vegan Cheese.
Pastaristo Vegan Mac Uncheddar
This Vegan Mac Uncheddar from Pastaristo is allergy-friendly since it is free of lactose, dairy, gluten, and soy.
Leahey Gardens Macaroni & Cheese
I have never seen this Macaroni & Cheese from Leahey in stores before but have read it about it online. Let me know if you have tried it; I’m curious to know how this vegan mac is!

Wow, I wish we had all of these in the UK. I am only aware Amy’s. I guess it’s homemade for me.
